Recycing pick-up is contracted through Republic Services, & is collected on Thursdays & Fridays on a bi-weekly basis. For residents living inside the city limits of Arab, please refer to the Recycle Schedule and Map 2020  to determine what day your recycling is scheduled to be picked up.

Recyclables should be EMPTY CLEAN DRY®.  After you toss your recyclables into the blue container, they are sold to be reused. Value is based on weight, so it is important that recycling facilities are receiving recyclables and not contaminants. Contaminated recyclables cannot be reintroduced into manufacturing markets, and may not end up being recycled at all. Like contaminants, moisture can degrade the quality of recyclable materials – especially paper and cardboard – which decreases value or can harbor insects, making the materials potentially non-recyclable.

* Please keep in mind, delays may be caused by hazardous travel conditions such as icy roads or flooding, life-threatening weather conditions, and holidays.
