Elections

The City of Arab holds regular municipal elections every four years to elect a Mayor and City Council. The elections take place on the fourth Tuesday in August. Runoff elections are held on the sixth Tuesday following a regular election, if required. Mayor and Council that are elected during regular elections shall assume their duties on the first Monday in November.

The City Clerk is responsible for coordinating municipal elections.
