Special services are available, upon request, to meet the library needs of the hearing impaired, the blind, or persons with other handicaps. The Library serves the needs of individuals, businesses, and agriculture while providing educational, cultural, and recreational resources for the people of Arab and the Brindlee Mountain area.

  • Summer Reading Program

The Arab Public Library offers a professional quality summer reading program to all children from toddlers to teens. The summer reading program encourages children to read for pleasure and is designed to keep children reading year-round. The program also provides an opportunity for children to use computers, search the Internet, and socialize with peers. Entertainment, prizes and an end-of-the-program party are included.

  • Friends of the Library
Friends of the Library of Arab is a non-profit organization, operated on a strictly volunteer basis.  Membership cost is $10.00 per year.  This does not obligate members to perform any tasks, but it offers an opportunity for those who would like to be of service to the Library.  As a Friend, you'll be a member of an organization whose purposes are to promote the interest of the Arab Public Library and the people it serves, promote expansion of the services offered at the library and to work toward the goals of progress and improvement set for the library.  Please contact the Arab Public Library for more information.
